Our Story

It all started with a couple of succulents…

Hudson Hewn is a husband-and-wife-owned home goods and botanical shop inspired by a shared love of art, design, making, and the natural world. We met and studied art in Minnesota before eventually making our home in the Hudson Valley. Along the way, we built careers, collected ideas, filled our home with plants and projects, and kept returning to the simple satisfaction of making things with our own hands.

Hudson Hewn grew out of that impulse.

We create and curate goods for the home that feel personal, useful, and made with care. Our work is shaped by natural materials, botanical elements, unique textures, and the occasional pop of bold color. You might find hand-hewn furniture made from local wood, handmade concrete planters filled with succulents, local prints and paper goods with a botanical theme, and other objects chosen for their warmth, personality, and connection to the land.

The name Hudson Hewn reflects where we are, and how we like to work We’re inspired by the Hudson Valley and its mix of nature creativity, history and independent makers. We believe that the things we bring into our homes are more meaningful when they carry a sense of the hands and ideas behind them.

Thanks for being here. We’re glad you found us!
