Our Story

Hudson Hewn is a home goods and botanical shop inspired by a love of art, design, making, and the natural world. I studied art in Minnesota before eventually making my home in the Hudson Valley. Along the way, I built a career in trends, designed the things we needed, and filled our home with things that make me happy. More and more, I’ve been returning to the simple satisfaction of making things with my own hands - stepping away from the screens to do something tactile, creative, and real.

Hudson Hewn grew out of that impulse.

I create and curate goods for the home that feel personal, useful, and made with care. My work is shaped by natural materials, botanical elements, unique textures, and the occasional pop of bold color. You might find hand-hewn furniture made from local wood, handmade concrete planters filled with succulents, local prints and paper goods with a botanical theme, and other objects chosen for their warmth, personality, and connection to the local landscape.

The name Hudson Hewn reflects where I am, and how I like to work. I’m inspired by the Hudson Valley and its mix of nature creativity, history and independent makers. I believe that the things we bring into our homes are more meaningful when they carry a sense of the hands and ideas behind them.
